Systems & Security Engineer

Building secure protocols, distributed systems, and the infrastructure beneath them — from India.

About Me

I am a software engineer who lives close to the metal. I write concurrent systems in Go, systems code in Rust, and compilers in OCaml. Much of my work sits in applied cryptography — symmetric ciphers, Diffie-Hellman, the Noise Protocol, and public key infrastructure — which I've used to build secure peer-to-peer connections and a custom QUIC transport that replaces TLS with Noise.

Networking and infrastructure are home ground: VPN tooling around WireGuard and OpenVPN (including remote SSH tunnelled over WireGuard), a custom firewall engine built on Kea, Zeek, and Suricata, and distributed systems running Raft and Paxos consensus. I've operated Redis, Postgres, CockroachDB, MariaDB, and ScyllaDB — deep enough into the last one to know how it uses the Seastar framework. I've also shipped blockchain work on Ethereum (ERC-20, ERC-721), Hyperledger Fabric, and the Uniswap protocol, and I build AI systems with RAG, MCP, and agentic architectures.

Away from servers I go smaller and lower: single-board computers (Radxa Rockchip, Allwinner, Raspberry Pi, NanoPi M5) and a custom operating system built on the Linux kernel. On the frontend I reach for React, SolidJS, or Svelte with reactive primitives like signals and observables. My daily drivers are Arch Linux and FreeBSD.
